Student Prizes

Submissions for 2025 Student Prizes are now open

BAS organises three annual student prizes. The British Aphasiology Society currently invites entries for its annual Student Project Prize, Student Essay/Case Report Prize and Student Participation Prize. Submissions can only be accepted in electronic format and should be sent to prizes@bas.org.uk by Monday 30th June 2025.
 

The BAS Student Essay/Case Report Prize:
£500 will be awarded for the best essay or case report on any topic relating to acquired aphasia. Entrants should be undergraduate or postgraduate students (Masters level). The prize will be divided on the basis of £300 to the winning student and £200 to his/her educational establishment. Please find the rules and application form HERE.
 

The BAS Student Project Prize:
£750 will be awarded for the best student project on any topic relating to acquired aphasia. The prize will be divided £500 to the winning student and £250 to his/her educational establishment. The project or dissertation should have been submitted as part of the normal examination procedure in the final year of an undergraduate or postgraduate course (Masters’ level). The BAS Student Participation Prize:
This will be awarded for the best student contribution to the lives of individuals with aphasia. This is open to all years of study. The prize require a written reflection of the students experience of their activities and how this is relevant to those with aphasia. Please find the rules and application form HERE.
