Conferences
Symposia Research in Progress Prizes support fund Other events

The BAS provides two forms of support funding.

The British Aphasiology Society has two funds that offer financial support to members who wish to attend conferences. The BAS Events Grants provide assistance to people attending the BAS International Conference and the BAS Therapy Symposium. These events are held on alternate years. The Support Fund for Conferences (non-BAS) supports members attending conferences other than those run by BAS.

Funding is available to both delegates and presenters, although priority will be given to those who are presenting work. The awards may cover registration, accommodation, travel expenses and other essential costs.

Priority will be given to applicants who have limited access to funding from other sources, and who would be unable to attend the conference without financial assistance.

The BAS Committee will consider applications. The total number of awards made and the amount of each award will be at the discretion of the committee. The Society also retains the right not to award any money in a given year.
