Dr Cecilia Devers is a senior lecturer at Leeds Beckett University. Her role includes teaching on the Speech and Language Sciences course, particularly on the anatomy/physiology, aphasiology, evidence-based research for clinical practice, and cognition modules. She also maintains a rigorously active research and clinical supervisory profile. Her research interests include aphasiology, neuro- and psycholinguistics in normal and disordered language systems, and cognitive neuropsychology of memory and language processing with a particular focus on acquired speech and language disorders.
Dr Devers’ clinical experience includes working with both developmental and acquired speech and language pathologies. She is an international fully licensed practitioner through the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA), Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT), and is a current member of the Academy of Aphasia and the British Aphasiology Society.
